Woodturners of the Virginias

Our Members:

WoVA has approximately 60 members from the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley and neighboring West Virginia.  Member skill levels vary from novice to professional.  Member interests cover all types of woodturning including bowls, spindles, pens, hollow vessels, novelty items like bottle stoppers and much more.

Membership in the Club is open to anyone with an interest in woodturning, regardless of level of skill or knowledge.  Dues are $25.00 individual and $35.00 family, per year.

WoVA meets the first Saturday of the month at the ‘Phoenix Shop’ in Mt. Jackson, VA.   Meetings start at 9:00 and typically go to 12:00pm.  The meeting starts with a welcome to everyone and an introduction of any guests or new members.  This is followed by a short business meeting and then a Show & Tell of members work.  The highlight of the meeting is a presentation, about 90 minutes in length,  on a topic related to woodturning.
